I agree with you Alberto on not posting tips..not because of the intellectual property.. but because i believe if designers experiment with this style, each with different attitudes,different backgrounds, different skills and different insights… then the results will be amazing…

I think your work is rather amazing and inspiring.. I think artists should evaluate others works and take them onboard as inspirational guides but at the end of the day they have to have their own unique style.. and yours in truely awesome Alberto ..

where would the world of classical music be if haydn didn’t teach beethoven… i could give you countless examples on this. as for your “clones” statement, that’s very egoistical. i hope that you’ll grow up soon.

Hi Alberto,

Greetings !

I apologies for asking too much from you. Also i appreciate Moto and Domo for supporting me with their comments. We all are a part of a great design community and was not expecting such a response from one of the best illustrators in the world. I had no intension whatsoever to clone your art / illustration, it was just the direction i was asking for as to where and how should i approach this subject. May be one day i may get the positive response or possibly try to figure out how its done.

I thank you alberto for being an inspiration to many with your wonderful art and have no ill feelings or anything about your response. After all its your intellectual property and i just asked for few tip to being with. I still respect and admire your brilliant works. Keep it up. All the best.

I’m going to have to disagree. I think he could have given a few tips to place Leo in the right direction, instead of leaving him floundering like that. Maybe pointing him to a couple tutorials that he thought would help Leo(or whoever else happened to come on this site) to build up some skills.
The line he wrote: “I don’t believe that the world needs clones of alberto seveso.”
He is a great artist, without a doubt, but that line seemed so full of egotism that I took a double take. And hiding behind the claim of poor English when it is obvious that he has a perfectly capable grasp of the language is a bit silly.
Leo’s comment was filled with nothing but praise for Mr.Seveso, as well as nearly everyone else’s. I also find his work beautiful.
I believe this is like the incident with Miss California and her opinion on gay marriage. There a better ways to handle things.
Also, saying things like,”Why should he help?” is a bit hypocritical. Everyone has had help with things at some point, especially within the artistic community! Theres not a single person that can honestly say they have never had help or looked at at least one tutorial to see how to do one little thing. Helping each other is quite simply the right thing to do. Its how we survive and prosper as a species.
Although I know I will receive some hateful responses, this is how I truly think and feel.

There is no reason he should help. He has a unique style. There are too many copies out there and trend whores now-a-days its sickening.

If anything he could say I use layered Illustrator vectors and use an overlayed raster image. Then what? Your in the same position as him saying no.

Good for you Alberto. Keep up the good unique work.

I dont like you reply to Leo’s post. I think its a poor response when a person ask for your help and you tell the person to find out for themself. You are a good artist but you need to learn a think or two about life.

your work is incredible. I like your response to Leo as well. it’s true. You have one of the most unique styles i’ve seen. I just graduated from school of visual arts in manhattan, and am going into motion design, so i really appreciate seeing stuff like this, because it inspires me to do great work.
